If you have technical formation in electric devices, you can understand that a Permanent Magnet Motor is an electric motor that have the rotor or the estator, build using permanent magnets. You have permanent magnets in the stator and electromagnets in the rotor, in a Brushed DC motor. And you have permanent magnets in the rotor and electromagnets in the stator, in BrushLess DC ( BLDC ) motors. In Brushed DC motor the electromagnets or coils must to be switched by a colector in the rotor, that ensures the correct current flow in the coils. But, in BrushLess DC motors the coils or electromagnets in the stator are switches electronically using the rotor position information supplied but 3 Hall Effect sensors.
But, what if we have Permanent Magnets in the Rotor and in the Stator ? This is a pure Permanent Magnet Motor, the previus examples must to be renamed to Electric Motors with Permanent Magnets.
